The role involves a high volume of telephone calls with both debtors and clients. The successful candidate will need good solid experience of the whole litigation process, excellent organisational and time management skills and needless to say strong negotiation and communication skills. You will also need to demonstrate a real interest in this type of work. Experience of using case management systems will be an advantage.

Experience of drafting Bills of Costs and having an extensive knowledge of the detailed assessment process is essential. Dealing with court applications, as well as advocacy will be an advantage. The work consists of both Defendant and Claimant, primarily from internal referrals within the firm. Work will encompass all aspects of civil litigation.

The work is a mainly defendant across a broad range of RTA, EL and PL, from small claims through to catastrophic claims. There is also some solicitor own client work. The team act for some very big and demanding clients. The work is high volume and fast turnover.

Leading the support desk team
Pursuing personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
Assisting all the firm’s staff with their questions about any of the firm’s software and computing platforms to the best of their ability, in a professional and courteous manner
Conducting effective performance development plans with the Group IT Manager
Scoping out projects
Effective project management

The successful candidate will need:
