news item

Shakespeares has appointed a new Commercial Director to lead the firm’s client services and commercial activities.

Hamish Munro, a prominent figure in the world of professional services marketing, is returning to the Midlands and will be taking up the position at Shakespeares in early 2012.

An experienced marketer and business development specialist, he is currently Chief Executive of the Guildhall Chambers in Bristol. Prior to this he held senior marketing and business development roles at BDO and Simmons & Simmons in London and also at Eversheds, where he was based at the firm’s Birmingham offices for seven years.

Hamish said: “It is great to be returning to the Midlands and to be taking up such an exciting opportunity to support a firm that is on the up. Having re-branded earlier this year, Shakespeares has already made its mark on the professional services map in the Midlands. I will be aiming to raise its profile further and support its continued business development and strategy for growth. This is a firm capable of handling most of the owner-managed and large businesses’ legal requirements in the Midlands at competitive rates. ”

Chief Executive, Paul Wilson, added: “We are delighted to be welcoming Hamish to the firm and I know that he will bring dynamism and enthusiasm to our strategic plans.”
